Jeannette & Sean
14th August 2025
The morning sun was a welcome sight, casting a warm golden glow across Liverpool as I made my way to St. Paul's Church. It was the kind of day every wedding photographer dreams of—clear skies and brilliant light. I arrived early to capture the quiet anticipation of the venue, but soon the air was filled with joyful chatter as guests began to arrive. Finally, Jeannette, looking absolutely radiant as she arrived in the wedding car with her father, then proceeded to walk down the aisle to meet her groom, Sean. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt vows and beautiful moments, and I did my best to capture the silent glances and genuine smiles shared between the happy couple.
As the ceremony concluded and the bells of the church rang out, the newly married couple stepped outside to a whirlwind of celebration. The guests gathered on the steps, their hands full of colourful confetti, ready to shower the bride and groom. I positioned myself to get the perfect shot as a vibrant cloud of paper rained down on them, their laughter echoing through the air. The confetti toss was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy, and I was so glad the sun was there to highlight every tiny piece floating in the air.
Next, we travelled to the iconic Liver Buildings, a stunning backdrop for the formal couple’s photos. With the sun glinting off the water and the majestic Liver Birds watching over us, Jeannette and Sean truly shone. It was here that they took a moment to themselves, opening a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The cork popped with a triumphant sound, and the bubbly liquid foamed over the top of the bottle as they toasted to their future. I captured the moment of them sharing a drink, their rings sparkling in the light as they clinked glasses.
Our final stop was the Liverpool Yacht Club for the reception. The weather held perfectly, allowing everyone to socialise on the patio with views of the marina. It was a chance for me to get more candid shots of the couple with their friends and family in a relaxed setting, with the stunning yachts as a backdrop.
The atmosphere was incredibly laid-back and happy. After a while, the party moved indoors for the wedding breakfast and a night of dancing, and I was able to capture the heartfelt speeches and the energy of the evening. It was a perfect day, and I left feeling like I hadn't just photographed a wedding, but had been a small part of a truly beautiful love story.
