The wedding of Shaun and Elizabeth was planned down to a tee.
The day started for me with bridal preparations at the Big Blue hotel in Blackpool. I had not been here before and I found it to be very presentable and welcoming, with some lovely decor and facilities. The bridal prep went on for a few hours, during which we were pleasantly entertained by the lovely two flower girls enjoying the morning activities.
Soon it was time to head to the wedding chapel along the seafront, the groom and the wedding guests were waiting downstairs for the bridesmaids to accompany them on some very special transport.
We crossed the main road and were greeted by a large old fashioned Blackpool green tram that was to take us all to the wedding, certainly a great way to get to any wedding in Blackpool.
After the ceremony, it was on with some lovely wedding photos along the seafront of the guests and bride and groom, before heading off to one of the newest hotels in Blackpool The Boulevard Hotel.
The celebrations soon got underway, in the large and open plan bar area, ideally suited to weddings and event such as this. The bar area soon filled up with guests laughing and joking with Shaun and Elizabeth and the rest of their family. Later on, everyone headed into the main function room for the wedding breakfast and speeches and evening celebrations.
During the evening between the meal and the evening party starting, I had a chance to go around and get some lovely wedding portrait of the guests who were more than happy to have their photos taken.
